You may have just heard me scream. I was sitting here, contemplating life & insomnia, when a pale-faced, dark-eyed THING blundered against the window I am sitting next to. Barnabas (all 60lbs of him) leaped into my lap, both of us yelping & clutching each other in terror. Once we could breathe again, we mustered our courage & ventured out with a flashlight. Nothing. I figure it was either a large owl or small vampire. I may never sleep again.
