You may have read in the Toronto Star or in Spacing Toronto about Cesar Palacio’s threats to sue me for libel. This is a frivolous attempt to silence me, and it is a clear sign that Mr. Palacio is scared of losing power. I’ve never been afraid to stand up to a bully. This campaign is about the kind of change that our community needs. The alleged libellous handout did not come from my campaign – it’s not something we produced. But I do stand by the message we’ve been delivering at doors all over the ward. It’s time for a change. People are tired of Cesar’s record of failure, inaction, and cozying up to the Fords. He has voted with the Ford brothers more than 85% of the time, including to cut bus service, raise TTC fares, cut the library budget and raise property taxes to pay for the ill-conceived Scarborough subway.
