You may remember Sandra Fluke, the advocate who was attacked by Rush Limbaugh for supporting a woman’s right to reproductive health care. She bravely pushed back against the extremists who tried to silence her, and she has continued to fight for progressive change with Democrats across the country. Sandra has always stood up for our values - and now she is running for the State Senate in California. Will you join me and stand with Sandra? During my 2012 campaign, Sandra came to Rochester and stood with me. I got to know her and I was deeply impressed with her willingness to fight for what she believed in. She remains a champion for women’s health, and has spoken out this year in support of equal pay and access to contraception. She also speaks out for issues that don’t get as much coverage: human trafficking, skyrocketing student loan debt and workers’ rights. Over the years, I have taken on the fights no one else will, and thats just the type of leader Sandra is too. She has been dedicated to social justice for over a decade, and now she is running to increase access to early childhood education, protect the environment and grow our middle class.
