You might have heard about this story, but I feel the need to share. Geist was in his backyard when a officer entered looking for a missing child, Geist aggressively approached the officer, and the officer shot twice, once was in the head which killed Geist. (BTW it looks like Geist was at least 20 feet away once he was shot) Im heartbroken for his owner, as I know my dogs would be in the same situation, as they are just doing their job protecting their home. While officers are trained to know how to handle situations, and use their forces correctly, I dont feel like this was handled appropriately at all. Shooting, and killing a dog because youre afraid of possibly being bitten? Shame on you Officer Olson, of SLCP.
