You might remember this oldie... The Coasters singing Charlie Brown. Oddly enough, I mistakenly bought a car at a car auction at the Puyallyup fairground (Silver Auctions) that was still owned by Ron Shy, who was the bass (dunce hat) in the Coasters. (Whys everybody always pickin on me?). They rolled in a beautiful 1973 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow that still had his vanity plate on it and I asked the wife if I could bid just to later brag that I bid but missed out on a Rolls Royce. She said Fine, I bid and the bidding just screeched to a halt. Sold!! We had a good time in it for a while, but it was a money pit so I sold it. I used to put on my version of a chauffeurs outfit to pick up friends and family from SeaTac. It always caused a stir people trying to see who the famous person was being picked up. I dont have a photo of the car handy right now, but it was beautiful burgundy with a white top. Ron Shy was in both the Coasters and the Drifters.
