You must have known by now that I consider myself a CITIZEN OF THE WORLD and I have lived to see the world shrink to being a global village. Technologies invested in Land, sea and air travel have helped us go to the continents and islands faster today than when I started traveling nearly half a century ago. Information and data got transfered from one part of the world to the other by cable television and land telephones. But with the development of saterlites in space around the world and the creation of the worldwide web, the internet has made this not only a small small world, but indeed, a global village, where information is transfered instantaneously It is amazing how much of human communication takes place via cyberspace. In a world of cell phones and computers, our young people dont have to meet physically to socialize, they do that on the phones and computers in cyberspace. Fancy how, with a computer and webcam/video, social network friends can chat and see each other face to face, bringing their friends across the continents into their bedrooms. I have facebook friends from all the continents of the world with whom I chat face to face. Frankly, development seems to take place where there are computers to help with information sharing. So, my friends, try computers/cellphones and webcams/videos.. If you can not physically be with your friends across the continents, socialize with them in cyberspace. I pray for the time when CELLPHONES and COMPUTERS will be cheap enough and available to everyone on planet earth, the milkyway galaxy of this universe and the other universes. Then, I will not have to travel to see and socialize with my friends on planet Emmanuel, around star Munda ,in Wilson galaxy.
