You need a renewed mindset to overcome sin. What is your mind is set on and the basis for your thought life? I am also talking about a worldview as well. Do you think and see things in this world, in your life and circumstances through the filter of the Word of God or is it by what man says, by humanistic thinking, by modern psychology, by that which is convenient to you or that which you think will benefit you. Todays society is being taught to think contrary to the Word of God, to think that they are not a creation of a loving God, to think that God shouldn’t be in our society because everyone doesn’t believe in God and that there are no moral or other absolutes. That way of thinking leads people to walk in the flesh and produce the lusts of the flesh and do that which is contrary to God and that which is life and to live in sin.
