You need to STOP BLINDLY LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE WHO RUN THE ANTI-ISLAMIC SITES and THINK FOR YOURSELF! How could the PROPHET MUHAMMAD, who could NEITHER READ NOR WRITE, be the author of the Quran? What is so hard about believing the Quran and the Books before it came down from THE SAME SOURCE (The Creator) and that the only reason there are differences today is because of what MEN have done in the process of that message getting to us? Does not the Bible today have mens names on it like MATTHEW, LUKE, MARK, JOHN, PAUL. TIMOTHY and KING JAMES and other individuals who were allegedly INSPIRED to write what they wrote? Wasnt there a LONG PERIOD OF TIME when only a SELECT FEW had access to the Bible and it was in a language the majority of people did not speak? If one can believe that THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, it is not so hard to believe that HE SENT EACH OF THE PROPHETS with THE SAME BASIC MESSAGE: that there is only one God: that you should SUBMIT YOUR WILL TO HIM and NOT WORSHIP ANYONE ALONG WITH HIM; that you should PRAY and FAST as a means of getting closer to Him; that you should DEVELOP not only A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH your Creator but with YOUR FELLOW MAN (give in CHARITY) and, finally, that you should COME TOGETHER AS ONE to worship THE SAME CREATOR in ONE PLACE and FACING in THE SAME DIRECTION. These are THE PILLARS OF ISLAM and, although, much of the teachings of the previous prophets’ teachings became DISTORTED, one can find EACH of the FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM as well as many of the other principles of Islam, MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE and other scriptures. The PROPHET MUHAMMAD was the FIRST TO COMMIT THE REVELATION TO MEMORY after the angel Jibril (Gabriel) had conveyed it to him. The Prophet then declared the revelation and instructed the companions to memorize it. According to Imam Sayuti (Al-Itqan), 20 COMPANIONS MEMORIZED THE QUR’AN* including ABU BAKR, UTHMAN, UMAR and ALI, who succeeded the Prophet in leading the Muslim community after his death. Among the companions who memorized the Qur’an were Abdullah bin Mas’ud, Abu Darda, Mu’adh bin Jabal, Zayd bin Thabit, Abu Zayd, Salim (the freed slave of Abu Huthaifah), Ubay bin Ka’ab, the 70 memorizers who were martyred at Bir Ma’unah, Umar bin al-Khattab, Uthman bin Affan, Ali bin Abi Talib, Hudhayfah, Abu Hurayrah, Abdullah al-Sayeb, Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As, Abdullah bin Umar, Abdullah bin al-Zubayr, Abdullah bin Abbas, Ubadah bin Samit, Fuzalah bin Ubayd, Muslimah bin Mukhallad and Mama’ bin Jariyah. The Quran was not only TRANSMITTED ORALLY but was also WRITTEN DOWN DURING THE LIFE TIME OF THE PROPHET . An example of this is when Umar converted to Islam, he wanted to see the leaves his sister was reading (Ibn Hisham pg.156). Ibn Umar narrated that Muhammad said : Do not take the Quran on a journey with you, for I am afraid lest it should fall into the hands of the enemy. (Sahih Al-Bukhari Vol 4 No. 233). THIS INDICATES THAT THE QURAN WAS A WRITTEN DOCUMENT. With respect to the ORDER it is in today, that was dictated by the Prophet as he received each verse or chapter. THE ORDER AND ARRANGEMENT WAS WELL KNOWN TO THE MUSLIMS due to DAILY RECITATION OF THE QURAN IN THEIR PRAYERS. There are 3 hadith in Sahih Bukhari indicating that the Angel Jibril (Gabriel) used to RECITE THE WHOLE QURAN WITH THE PROPHET ONCE A YEAR IN RAMADAN, but RECITED IT TWICE IN THE YEAR HE DIED (Vol 6 No. 518, 519, 520.) THERE IS A LOT OF MANUSCRIPT EVIDENCE THAT THE QUR’AN WE HAVE TODAY IS THE SAME AS WHAT THE PROPHET RECITED 1400 YEARS AGO. Arguably, the best of which is the one stored and exhibited at Topkapi Museum, Istanbul which is dated between the late first century to the early second century of the Islamic calendar (late 600 and early 700’s). What is amazing about this manuscript evidence is that it uses vowel marks that follows the method of Abu al-Aswad al-Du’ali the expert COMMISSIONED BY the caliph ALI HIMSELF. THE MANUSCRIPT CONTAINS EXACTLY 408 FOLIOS COVERING ALL THE VERSES OF THE QUR’AN WITH AN EXCEPTION OF A FEW because of the missing of two folios. Other manuscripts are found at Tashkent , Uzbekistan from the second century, however the dates generated by the radiometric method does not exclude the possibility of it being a manuscript from the Caliph Uthman’s time. We also have the manuscript of which its major portion is found at St. Petesburg (E 20) and others scattered in Katta Langar, Tashkent and Bukhara. Then there’s the San’a manuscripts found in San’a, Yemen. And there are a lot more from different parts of the world - some owned and exhibited at museums, while others, are owned by private collectors. At MUNICH UNIVERSITY in GERMANY, at the beginning of the 1900’s, scholars embarked on an EXTENSIVE RESEARCH PROJECT on THE RELIABILITY OF THE QUR’AN. A LARGE TEAM was involved in OBTAINING ALMOST ALL THE EDITIONS EVER PUBLISHED anywhere IN THE WORLD, including THE OLDEST COPY OF THE QUR’AN SAID TO HAVE BEEN USED BY the third Islamic leader ‘UTHMAN B. Affan, which was available in the Taskqand library in Uzbekistan. The researchers vetted and tallied the copies with each other and compared them with the oldest one. Their findings were remarkable. THE CONCLUSION REACHED WAS THAT NO CHANGES EVER OCCURRED IN THE QUR’AN AND THE PRESENTLY AVAILABLE QUR’AN IS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE OLDEST EXTANT COPY.” - Israr Ahmad Khan.
