"You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, - TopicsExpress

"You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised." Hebrews 10:36 To persevere is to keep at it, stick with it, continue, and to carry on. The word of God tells us that we are to persevere or keep at it, carry on and stick with it through our trials and tribulations. Through thick and thin we need to stay the course and not allow folk, situations or circumstances to cause us to be drawn off course. Hebrews 10:36 promises all who believe that if we can just stay the course and the will of God is done in our lives for that particular season we will receive what God has promised us. You see I truly believe God has blessings stored up for every believer and when we persevere some of those blessings are released. Each and every time we carry on through trials, every time you and I stick with our faith despite what our eyes and logic may tell us God has the promise of a blessing waiting for us. As believers we need to understand that each trial whether self induced or inflicted by others is designed to make us stronger. Just like God allowed Job to go through He has and will allow you and I to go through to grow and mature. I realize during your trials you may not believe that all things work out for the good of those who love God but trust that this is very much a fact. The problem with some of us is we are too busy asking why when we should be asking what are you trying to teach me. As father, husband, son, sibling, and all of the other many things I have to be in my life God has been my sustainer through some interesting times. There have been times when all I could do was look to the hills for my help but God, but God, always came through with what I needed. More often than not the delay came from me not being obedient to the point of sacrifice and humility. Self is the biggest problem most of us have to deal with. We sometimes spend far to much time trying to figure things out on our own when we should be talking to God and listening for His response. Can you keep pushing the stone through thick and thin? Can you carry on despite what your eyes and logic may be telling you? Is self the hurdle you must clear during the tough times in your journey? "Keep Pushing The Stone!" Chris Pender, Sr. MHS
