You never know what adventures await you in life. Yesterday I took my mother to see the Mystical Landscapes art exhibit at the Limestone College Art Department, thinking it would be a nice way to pass some time in the late afternoon. While there, we met art professor Carolyn Ford, who was warm and welcoming and proved to be a most interesting person. In fact, when she found out that I was a writer who set a lot of my stories on the Limestone campus, she whisked my mother and I away on a delightful tour of Limestones spookiest places and regaled us with scary stories, many of which were her own creations. It was a fun and engaging afternoon, and it not only gave me a little inspiration for the novel Im currently working on, but I tucked away many tidbits for possible future stories. So the moral is this: open yourself up to new experiences, to new people, and you never know what adventures await you. :)
