You should all read this and try to understand...this is why we do what we do. Because of the pain and suffering of the innocent. Because of the terror and loneliness they face. Because, if i can help save even one life...it was worth it to that one. My effort, our effort, its not all for nothing. It serves a purpose, even if it disgusts, infuriates, bores or grates on the nerves of those who see these posts, time after time. Because sometimes, occasionally, if Im lucky, if were lucky, someone sees the fear and sadness and decides to do something about it. Decides to adopt or foster that poor, sad faced furbaby in the picture. Decides that, rather than buying /breeding/puppy milling, adopting a lost soul, an abandoned furchild, a life left behind, would be so much more fulfilling. And, in that moment, everything that I/we have done means so much more than the all the money that has been spent out of our own pockets...the countless hours spent crossposting, fostering, rescuing, trapping, transporting, running...the heartache of all of the ones that have been lost, despite our efforts. It is in that moment that I/we realize that it was all worth it, not just to us, but to the sweet soul that has been granted life all over again...reborn anew, beginning again and with the promise of love till the rainbow bridge comes.
