You tend to acquire knowledge that validates your biases, preconceived notions. In a way Google and Internet has increased this phenomenon ten folds. I have been ranting this for a few years now, Internet has a tendency to polarize the population. With immense knowledge and information at your finger tips, you will acquire only those which will satisfy your ego or which confirms your insecurities or which validates your viewpoint. Commonly seen among supporters of AAP, Modi, Religious Fanatics and People who fall in love with their original start-up idea :p
