You think youre finally over it, but then, The Season hits you..and suddenly the Late Summer Sunshine and Scents Of Early Autumn bring it all back again... And there you are in your mind, blackberry picking in the lane, walking along a Cornish Coastal Path whilst he teaches you of the different trees and bushes. Gently sauntering upon an almost empty beach, soft rain coming down in a fine, drizzling mist as you snuggle into each other... Holding each other so tight, endless Laughter, endless Loving... Dew-Soaked tent set on long, wet grass. Sloping ground which makes you slide downwards in the night, causing endless fits of giggles and mirth... Hooting Owls overhead whilst you cuddle up around flickering flames of the fire, underneath the stars, both so happy, so at peace.... My mind works deeply on senses, memories running like films through my head, each scene stored away, complete with scripts, sounds, vision, touch, smells, taste.... Spring is much easier.... In Late Summer, we fell into each other instantly.. In Autumn, we loved... In Winter, I grieved..... In Spring I began to heal..... But here we are again, my first Late Summer since that time and suddenly, Im longing for Spring to come again, for I knew him not in Spring.... I was Free Of Love in Spring, I was just me in Spring.. And now, I am back to being We again inside my heart and that hurts.... I need The Daffadowndillies to be Blooming once more, to heal my soul again, to give me me back.... It will come...and next years Late Summer wont hurt quite so much, with the year after hurting even less, until one day, when I am a very old lassie, I will be able to welcome Late Summer again and Breathe In The Beauty Of Early Autumn once more, the smile upon my face no longer edged with tears........for I Loved him. Oh, HOW I loved him....
