You wanna know why I know I am blessed? Yesterday, an awesome singer, who is new in the area, was talking with us after a concert at Metropolitan Seventh-day Adventist Church where the Metropolitan Symphony Steel Orchestra (MSSO) and Jasmine Brann all performed. She was talking about some of my former students and relatives, not knowing that they were in any way related to me but who are making their contributions in a big way to life, Nicole Anderson, Nichelle G Anderson, Nathan Anderson, and their young cousin on the bass Jonnieface Adjahoe) and Anwar Ottley, and the Porsche Vanderhorst, Shalisha Vanderhorst, many of whom she had met through Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL, some through "Dynamic Praise". She talked about how they were serious about their music and their ministry, not knowing they (including Jasmine and the director of the MSSO) had all passed through the Ottley Music School. These are a few of those who are making their mark in the world who have passed through the focused tutelage of me and the wonderful teachers of the Ottley Music School, Inc. Some of the former students are inventor Darien Claxton, Airis McCottry-Gill, Sharifa Clark, Kevin Lis Powell and his sister, Crystal, Victoria Alma Castello, Anika Sampson-Anderson, Anika Walkingbyfaith Prather, and a host of others here on facebook, some in music, and others in other fields of endeavors. Five of our students graduated from High School and left town for college, and one to Pine Forge Academy this fall. God has blessed us all, and we pray that He continue to do so.
