You want justice, American style? Every Ferguson cop involved in the current and comically incompetent alleged attempt to justify, excuse, minimize, and cover up Michael Browns alleged execution should be arrested and charged with multiple counts of assault, conspiracy, perjury, defamation of character, libel, filing a false police report, obstruction of justice, and being accessories after the fact (and probably much else). No plea bargains should be offered unless those deals include felony status - including the removal of their right to keep and bear arms, vote, and obtain employment in security or as police officers - and incarceration. If they choose a fair trial over plea bargaining, then if they are convicted they should all be given the maximum penalties allowable by law. None of them should receive pensions, severance pay, or any other monetary compensation upon their official terminations as police officers. The cop who allegedly executed Michael Brown should be immediately arrested, charged with murder (among much else), and jailed without bail until his fair trial is complete. There should be no plea bargain offered unless such a deal includes felony status - including the removal of his right to keep and bear arms, vote, and obtain employment in security or as a police officer - and a lengthy period of incarceration. If after a fair trial he is convicted, he should be given the maximum penalty allowable by law. He should not receive a pension, severance pay, or any kind of monetary compensation upon the official termination of his employment as a police officer. In short, and because American style justice is really nothing more than legalized vengeance, every cop involved in this alleged murder should be treated just as they would have treated Michael Brown if he had allegedly killed that cop (Im assuming here that the cops would have let him live had he actually/allegedly killed one of them. Since the cop allegedly executed him for nothing more than jaywalking, the notion that they might have allowed him to live after allegedly killing one of them is an admittedly foolish one. Also, fair trials for cops and fair trials for the Michael Browns of America are two very different things). If you did all that and treated these cops EXACTLY as they would have treated Michael Brown were he the alleged murderer, THAT would be justice, American style. And it would change exactly nothing.
