You were 5 or 6 years old. Every two seconds there was a warning about the "dangers" of "hiding" in an abandoned refrigerator, the door tragically latching, and you twitching in agony until your lungs popped and your tongue stuck out your mouth all blue, cold and dead. Newspapers, parents, teachers, radio; every 5 minutes some stupid kid in Regresseville, LA, dies in an abandoned refrigerator. Fridges laying quietly, doors agawp, waiting to chomp down on some tow-headed kid! What the heck kind of backwater, hellhole did I grow up in, where this was the biggest threat-to-life ever, for 3 years of my young, frightened life? -- Sleep Deprived Thinking.
