You will NEVER hear me talk politics or religion on Facebook. Id rather walk the walk than talk the talk. But Florida football , well I do have a few thoughts. :) I like Will Muschamp a lot, personally -- and Im sorry things didnt go differently for him during his tenure at the University of Florida. I wish him and his family every bit of happiness and success in the future.. Hes an incredibly smart and hardworking guy - who loves his players and ran a clean football program during a time where the CULTURE of elite college and professional athletic programs presents HUGE challenges of personalities, entitlement, and big business. He is also genuinely a nice guy. And if you met him - youd like him too... Now, is that enough to keep your job at an elite program like UFs? Nope. But still, I felt like I needed to share those thoughts.... So whats next?! Like everyone else Im very interested to see whats next for the Gators - but there is one thing that I do KNOW and that is that our Athletic Director Jeremy Foley (THE best AD in the country) is WAY smarter than I am - And Ill go out on a limb and say that hes probably smarter than most of us who think we know whats best for the University of Florida Athletic programs. Hes gonna make a well thought out decision -- and Im more than sure hes had interesting conversations that none of us will ever know about... IllI admit - Its fun to have the discussions, to say how wed do things differently, and to do all the coaching and hiring from the safety of our Facebook posts... But, youll get nothing but the utmost respect for Jeremy Foley from me. Now, heres some fun -- but TOTAL speculation on my part... Ill bet that Steve Spurrier offers Muschamp the Defensive coordinator job at South Carolina as soon as the season is over.. And IF Will accepts it - hell be groomed by the old ball coach to take over the head coaching job there as soon as Spurrier steps down... Further more, Ill say that by learning a few things from coach Spurrier (and maybe hanging on to USC Quarterbacks coach GA Mangus) - hell go on to have a GREAT run in Columbia...
