You will NOT believe this: WE MISSED UR FLIGHT...through no fault of our own - or so it seems!!! When we arrived at the airport, we learned that our flight was delayed from 2:10 until 3:15. Once at the gate, we saw that it had been further delayed - until 3:35. We sat at the gate for more than an hour and then decided to get something to eat at 2:50. We bought sandwiches and were gone from our seats for MAYBE 10 minutes, as it was 3:00 wneh we returned to our seats to eat. I then noticed that they had updated the departure time to 3:15. We never heard ONE announcement, never saw a person behind the departure desk and never saw ONE person in line to board the flight - nor did we ever see a plane at our gate. At 3:15, I saw that they departure time was changed to 3:12 - which seemed very odd. Then, at 3:18, I saw that the departure time had been hanged to... Departed!!! WHAT?!!!!!! To say the least, we were in TOTAL DISBELIEF - and could NOT believe this actually COULD have happened!!! But it HAD!!! The ONLY possibility was that in the 8 to 10 minutes that we were away from the gate: 1. They announced the plane would be boarding 2. BOARDED 130 PASSENGERS (we learned the flight left with 130 passengers) 3. Made a final boarding announcement 4. Closed the gate 5. And took off!!!!!!!!! We REALLY felt as if had entered... The Twilight Zone. And we STILL feel that way!!! And now here we are, at the Sonesta Hotel (for which WE are paying $129), while our luggage is en route to LaGuardia Airport... with NO clothes, no toiletries, no NUTHIN but the clothes on our backs - staying until there next flight departs at 9:07 a.m.!!!!!!! Would somebody please pinch me and wake me up - because this CANNOT be happening! All I can say is: Oy... Freakin... VEY!!!!
