You will be proud of me, I was good, several people got up and walked out of tonights service but I wasnt one of them! I stuck to my guns and sat there with my Hubby like a good wife because that is the Church he wants to go to and I am going to be obedient! Several of you may think I went to far but I did write the preacher a letter...I thought he should know! I do not hide anything from you so here is the message I sent..... Pastor, Craig... I noticed when you started talking about not knowing whether God causes the storms or whether he just allowed them 2 families got up and walked out, I was setting in the second row and I didnt look behind me..I do not wish to be disrespectful, but God does neither...there are 3 reasons we may have storms in our lives (1) The Bible says that Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy, so he is the cause of most of our storms..(2) we do not do what God instructs,there- by causing our own storms(3)and like when Jesus was on the boat, the winds came up, God did not cause the winds,like you said, it was because of the mountains and the way the wind blows, kind of like tornadoes, God does not cause this......I think that is why people Got up to leave, victims in Moore are sick of people saying God sent them!, like somehow they deserved it...Some day I would love to hear a preacher teach folks to stand outside before the tornado comes and quiet the winds, the way Jesus taught!!!! But how can you fight an enemy that you think is your friend??? Understand that you can not fight sickness and disease or storms if you think God sent them...It is like you said, it is a battle ground but we are NOT fighting God-He does not send the storms but he stands with you and helps you fight them!~!!
