You will not want to miss the 15th Annual Ragley Heritage and Timber Festival which will be held Saturday, October 19th 2013 at the Historical Square Pavilion in Ragley beginning at 10:00. There will be bands/music, quilters, spinning, corn grinding, wood making, antique cars and tractors on display. The children will enjoy train rides , illusion shows, balloon animals, 5-in-1 Combo, Bounce House, 16’ slide, and wagon (pulled by oxen) rides. Reflections of the past history of Ragley will be shared. The Beauregard Community Band, the Ramblin’ Cajuns, the Triumphant Voices and Band, and the Mark Reeves Band will be performing. The theme of the festival will be “Remembering Our Past”. Some of the food sold will be turnip greens and cornbread, gumbo,, fried fish, sausage, chicken, or pork on a stick, brisket sandwiches, corn dogs, red beans and rice, fettuccini, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos ,funnel cakes, homemade sweets, pizza, and other goodies. There will be lots of craft booths. Gate fee is $5.00 per car load. The festival will get underway at 10:00 and will last until 4:30 p.m. For further information, contact Linda Burnett, 725-3324.
