You wont find me at Frankie 100. Though, I would have loved to swing out and photograph amid the spectacle of 2,000+ dancers, a sight Ive only seen 5 years ago at the last Frankie event. My friend and I had an interesting conversation yesterday. You can swing out at F100 or in your own local ballroom, the important thing is the feeling you get when youre doing it. Im feeling pretty damn good when Im swinging out with reckless abandon in the small bars and clubs just inches away from musicians who are looking like theyre feeling pretty damn good too. Thats the pure spirit of it all... celebrating a beautifully personalized version of human harmony shared in an environment of chaotic improvisation to live and suspiciously spontaneous jazz music. #NewOrleans
