You wouldnt believe the way some of OUR kids are treated I worked in the cafeteria at several of our schools central,shannondale,& whittle springs the fifth graders basically get the scraps cause there isnt enough left. Its sad please if you can afford it pack their lunches. And god forbid the kid not have money in their account the kitchen manager at the time (she now works at halls) would scream at these little kids and I would watch a sweet little happy kid hang its head and walk away. At whittle springs I watched a worker give a special needs student left overs from breakfast for lunch cause she was too lazy to get more of what we were serving that day her comment was he dont care hell eat whatever and I watched this poor boy thankfully take this dried up piece of cheese toast and a dry cold curled up piece of ham. Needless to say I reported these things and nothing was done these people are still employed with Knox county
