Youll often hear people say that they like being around like minded people. That can be very dangerous when it comes to group think. Only being around or talking to others who believe the same things as you can pigeon hole you and limit your ability to learn and experience life. Personally, I prefer to be around people that dont necessarily have the same beliefs and experiences as me, but instead are like minded because they think the same way I do, that is, openly, freely and without judgement. Its not very conducive to new experiences and learning new things about people and life when you only hang out or talk with people (like on social media) who are exactly like you who you always agree with.
