Young Greens society are running a training session tonight. https://facebook/events/1458413591042151/ It will hopefully give some useful information about what its like being on the committee. It will include information about how to access vital SU resources (like room bookings) and tips on how to be successful. Most of these things are pretty straight forward but they arent obvious if you dont know them. As president of the Young Greens society, I learnt them the hard way, but hopefully this will make it easier for future committees. The SU provides training but it is generally targeted. This session wont be as complete but will be more specifically targeted to campaigning/environmental/social justice societies. This may be of relevance to other groups and I understand committee elections are happening around the same time for most societies. So anyone whos thinking of running for a society committee might find this useful.
