Young Professionals Programme, 2014 Belizeans living abroad can also apply to the programme and will be able to sit exams if they qualify in the nearest examination center to their location. Eligibility: Nationality: must hold nationality of a participating Member State at the time of application Age: 32 years or younger ( Date of Birth on or after 1 January 1982) Education: First level university degree acceptable for each job family Language: Fluency in English or French Experience: No experience required The application process will be open from June 14th - August 27th, 2014. Applications will be accepted at different intervals for different areas of focus: a. June 14th to August 13th- Information Systems and Technology and Political Affairs b. June 21st- August 20th: Economic Affairs and Radio Producer c. 28th June- 27th August; Human Rights, Library Information Management and Photography. Examination: In order to open an examination center in Belize there must be a minimum of 15 convoked applicants which means applicants who have passed the first level of screening. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be responsible for identifying a suitable examination center. The member state will liaise with a UN Examination Administrator. Persons sitting the exam will be required to cover cost to examination site. Placement: Successful Applicants are eligible for consideration at a P-1/P2 Level at a UN Duty Station usually within their geographic region Placement exercises are conducted 4 times for the year Successful applicants will receive application number and can check the website continuously for updates on their placement status. Materials for Information: The YPP team has committed to assisting countries by providing the powerpoint presentation that I have scanned for use in information sessions. They will also provide generic newsprint ads and radio blurbs that can be tailored to suit country needs in English. I have also asked that this information be provided in Spanish.
