Requirements: • Registered with SACAP as a Professional Architect • South African citizen • 5+ years experience • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD • Good communication skills • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and meet set deadlines Job Specification Work Activities And Responsibilities: • Conceptualization of the design and assisting the quantity surveyor in performing feasibility studies of the project, • Client Liaison and co-ordination, • Contextual studies of environment, • Construction Legislation expert, • Contract Administration in terms of the JBCC 2000 PBA, as amended. • Mediation and Arbitration, • Urban Design and conceptualization, • Cost structure implementation into project, • Ecological and sustainability expert, • Historical and Social studies of context, • Detailing of construction components, • Presentation and expression of design intent, • Materials characteristic and integration specialist, • Site Supervision and project management in terms of quality control, • Services and technology integration into projects, • Project management in terms of design and project outcome, • Site Supervision and project management in terms of quality control, • Services and technology integration into projects, • Project management in terms of design and project outcome, • Preparation of Tender Drawings, adjudication and interpretation of tenders, • Technical coordination of drawings and the various stakeholders in the project, • Integration, adjudication and study of trends in the various disciplines involved in the Architecture profession, • Graphic Design, • 3D Modelling, • Report compilation and implementation. • Thermal performance testing, • Green Star Professional in terms of Green Building Council of South Africa, • Drawing amendment and production of as built drawings, and • General Problem solving and management of Architectural Production Office, • Always act fairly and impartially in terms of the relevant building contract, • Always produce designs that meet the clients needs, within reasonable financial limitations, • The architect could provide an outlined estimate of the building area, but will not be responsible for the financial viability of the project, • Personnel management, production system development and co-ordination, • Assist the project manager with the compilation of various reports at during the different stages of the project. • Control and administer project plan and PEPs.
