Your 10 Questions to the Chairman As we approach another week - TopicsExpress

Your 10 Questions to the Chairman As we approach another week of waiting and wondering which direction this (once) great club of ours is heading, there was a suggestion made to AVFTT that we ask readers to submit for the Chairman to answer. Thanks to everyone who contributed on the site, social media and via e-mail and we have now come up with 10 questions that we believe reflect your concerns about the present and future state of Blackpool FC. We have submitted these to the Chairman and if we hear anything back well publish his answers. 1. Take us through the recent manager interview process. What was it about Jose that impressed you and what do you think hell bring to the club? Having worked with him for the last few weeks how has that opinion changed? 2. A recent petition was signed by hundreds of Blackpool fans stating your position as Chairman is becoming untenable. There have also been high profile former players and coaches from the club criticising how you run the club. After 15 years in charge, do you feel that you have run out of ideas and it would be in the best interest of the club to resign? 3. Do you have a long term vision for the club, a three year plan say, or was Michael Appleton correct when he said the club was run on a day to day basis? Do you believe its wise for any business not to have a long term plan and, if not, what is in place at the football club? 4. Why has there been such a significant lack of communication at both Chairman and Manager level with the media? 5. Is it true that Jose Riga gave you a list of players to sign shortly after he was appointed. How many players on the list have been approached and why is player recruitment taking so long? 6. After stating in a June 2009 interview with the Evening Gazette that the training ground was not fit for purpose, why has the redevelopment stalled for five years when in that time various building projects have been commissioned by yourself and completed on time? 7. When will loans made to non-football related companies be paid back to the football club? 8. What do you consider the Premier League legacy to be as far as the football club and only the football side of the business is concerned? 9. Having stated that the next manager should embrace the Youth system at the club and work on bringing through talented individuals, have you been disappointed that Harrison McGahey has chosen to look elsewhere and is this a reflection of why our youngsters dont progress? 10. Has anyone approached you and your family to buy either the club and the ground or just the club in the last six months. If so how many approaches for each option?
