Your Daily Iconic Moments. THE ROOT OF INSECURITY. A wise man said, if you know what it is not, you will know what it is. This simply means that when you take out all the negatives, only the positives will be left. Now this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” Then they said to him, “Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?” He said: “I am The voice of one crying in the wilderness: “Make straight the way of the Lord,” as the prophet Isaiah said.” John 1:19-23 John the Baptist knew who he was not. He knew he was not the Christ and therefore he could not be expected to perfrom the functions of the Christ. Since John knew who he was not, it made it easier for him to correctly and consisely know who he was. He knew he was the forerunner of the Christ. Although John was the forerunner of Jesus Christ, although John had to decrease for Jesus to increase, Johns ministry was equally important. There had to be a voice to cry in the wilderness. There had to be someone who would tell the people to make straight the way of the Lord. I make bold to say that Jesus would have faced an uphill task without John. No ones purpose is better than yours. By mens standards, your purpose may look inferior but in Gods plan, it is very important. Jealousy and insecurity are products of the undiscovered life. Every part of the body is important. You are an Icon. Action Plan:- If you regularly envy others or feel insecure, you probably do not know who you are. Stay in your lane. Prayer:- I receive Your grace afresh Lord.
