Your HELP is Needed for a sick Iwo Jima Survivor in Chicago. We got a message that an Iwo Jima Survivor is sick in a nursing home and has no family to visit him. His name is Francis (Frank) Lane and if you can visit him a while, it would be appreciated. He is a Marine and would like visitors. Thank you for your help. Here is the message sent to us: Hello fellow patriots, Frank is at the St James Hospital in Chicago Heights, Illinois. He served as a Marine and was nearly sent into Nagasaki days before the dropping of the bomb! He was never married has no surviving children and is getting the support from one very loving niece named Kathleen Martin. The system does not know how important A contribution he made to this country. As a friend I can promise you he has not received The support from the nursing homes that he has been bounced around from these last two months. Please foreword any help to him. He is still sharp as a tack, although he does not stand Arrow Straight. Personally I would like to see a Marine standing outside his door through his final days! Thank you John Koester
