Your Life is Written in His Blood: The Road to Resurrection Sunday. Maundy Thursday is the commemoration of the Thursday before Good Friday. It is on Maundy Thursday that Jesus met with His disciples for what would be their last meal together. Maundy means “commandment” in Latin. It was on this Thursday that Jesus gave His disciples the commandment, “…to love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:34-35, ESV). Tomorrow’s lesson: Servant hood. Join us as we commemorate Holy Week with special guests Dr. Maurice Watson on Wednesday, April 16th at 12 noon at our Jefferson Street location, Dr. E. Dewey Smith also on Wednesday, April 16th at 7pm at OHB, and Pastor John Faison on Thursday, April 17th at 7pm at the Antioch location. Meet us at our Jefferson Street location for Good Friday Community Outreach on Friday, April 18th from 10am-3pm. If possible, please bring food donations for distribution.
