Your Stop The Violence Arlington Day Host ANTONIO JOHNSON Antonio Johnson was born in Memphis, TN on October 7, 1972. A graduate of the University of Louisville, KY, he has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. At the age of 15 while working at a Burger King Drive-Thru, a woman who worked for a gospel radio station discovered him. So impressed with his voice, she offered him a job on the spot. Antonio has worked in radio ever since, having worked at gospel radio stations in Memphis, TN, Louisville, KY, San Francisco, CA, and Dallas/Fort Worth, TX. Antonio has interviewed Jesse Jackson, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Penny Hardaway, the Williams Brothers, Melba Moore, Les Brown, Usher, Shaq, Bishop TD Jakes, Yolanda Adams, Beverly Crawford, Prophetess Juanita Bynum and many more in the music industry and beyond. He is considered to be one of the best gospel radio announcers in the country. He now worked for Heaven 97 KHVN-AM in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, which was voted Gospel Radio Station of the Year in 2000. An anointed and obedient man of God who loves the Lord, Antonio has been blessed with many opportunities to share God’s word. Antonio has made several TV appearances, WFAA 8 Metro, NBC 5 Dallas/Fort Worth as a host of DFW Gospel Sounds, Fox 4 Focus on Faith, CBS 11 Positively Texas, UPN 21 Dallas for the local UNCF telethon, BET, “The Word Network” with Bobby Jones Gospel, and he hosts his own show “Women’s Thursday”. Not only has God blessed him to be gifted in comedy and as a radio announcer, but also it seems he has one more gift, acting.
