Your Sunday forecast calls for GUSTY WINDS, HUGE SURF, and rain - TopicsExpress

Your Sunday forecast calls for GUSTY WINDS, HUGE SURF, and rain for parts of the state. I am tracking a tail-end of a cold front that is located about 70 miles north of the Garden Isle. It is associated with a large band of clouds (about 150 miles wide) that are deemed showery clouds. The front will approach the islands tonight and Sunday. The front will move from Kauai to Oahu tonight, and then gradually spread to Maui County and Hawaii Island on Sunday as it weakens. Behind the front, we will see strong winds fill in, and that is why we have a WIND ADVISORY through Sunday for most of the state. Marathon runners will likely have to face winds and some rain in the morning, but the rain is expected to clear by early afternoon. Best to all of the runners! Surfers: wind will make it choppy tomorrow with rough seas across the island chain. Be safe. (Meteorologist Jennifer Robbins)
