Your Tuesday Devotional Thought: Comfort Zone The temperature has been hot lately, so I am sure you have your thermostat set to that perfect temperature that you like. Is it 66, 68, 70, 72 or maybe higher? Maybe youre willing to sacrifice some comfort in temperature to be more comfortable with that bill you get. Regardless, we all have comfort zones with many things that we establish over time. We know where that area of comfort is, and we do not like to be outside of it for very long. However, comfort zones keep us from moving forward and outside of them, and they often cause us to be idle and even lazy. So,are you willing to be uncomfortable for the sake of growth or a needed change in your life. As Christians, we are not called to be comfortable but to be changed. So, what needs changed in your life? The Bible says in James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.Take the challenge this week of stepping outside your areas of comfort for the sake of something better.
