Your Turning Point! THAT IS NO HILL FOR A CLIMBER! As Born Again Believers, we all have Turning Points in our lives! It usually it comes in the form of TESTING? You may not even see it for TESTING, at the time, or it may even seem to be bad for you, when it is for your good, or seem to be good, when it is for your bad? 1 Samuel 30:1-6 Then it happened when David and his men came to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had made a raid on the Negev and on Ziklag, and had overthrown Ziklag and burned it with fire; 2 and they took captive the women and all who were in it, both small and great, without killing anyone, and carried them off and went their way. 3 When David and his men came to the city, behold, it was burned with fire, and their wives and their sons and their daughters had been taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted their voices and wept until there was no strength in them to weep. 5 Now Davids two wives had been taken captive, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite. 6 Moreover David was greatly distressed because the people spoke of stoning him, for all the people were embittered, each one because of his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God. THEN IT HAPPENED! THE TESTING! THE TURNING POINT! THE HILL! Now David had been running and hiding from King Saul who wanted to kill him, because David had been anointed to become King of Israel. During this time, a large group of men had gathered around David and were loyal to him, following his every order, about 600 of them. In order to get away from Saul, and his relentless pursuit, David had went to the Philistines and offered to be with them. Because of Davids reputation, The King of the Philistines had given a town to David and his men, called Ziklag, that was where they with their families were living, to stay away from Saul. But when the Philistines started to go to war with Israel, they did not want to go into battle with David and his men, because their generals did not trust David to fight against his own people. You can read about this in 1 Samuel 29. So the King asked David to go back home. David and his 600 men marched back home, it took about 3 days to get there, since they had been on the road for 6 days, going and coming. They were all tired and worn out and just wanted to come to their homes, wives and children. REMEMBER: The Enemy always sets us up for the TESTING WHEN WE ARE TIRED OR WORN OR DISCOURAGED AND FEELING IN A HOPELESS SITUATION. THEN HE HITS US WITH THE HILL! David and his men were tired and worn down physically, Then it happened...When they arrived home, the Amalekites had raided their homes and taken all of their children and wives. Nothing was left... Nothing left....for the weary men and for David. Davids men started to blame David, and some even wanted to kill him, because he had not left some men to guard their homes. It was truly an impossible situation....even David had lost his wives and children too. It seemed that EVERYTHING HAD GONE WRONG FOR DAVID! But David did not give in to fear of his life, or the whispers of the evil ones to be afraid and to doubt God and His Love. INSTEAD DAVID WENT TO THE LORD, CONFIDING IN, LEANING ON HIM AND TRUSTING IN HIM IN FAITH... 1 Samuel 30:7-31..David responded as we should all respond! This was the Turning Point in Davids life, This had been a TESTING in Davids life...After this Turning Point, God removed the Fear of Saul. In the next chapter, God allowed Saul and his sons to die, and David began to reign as King in Hebron. Psalm 91:1-2 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say to the LORD, My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust ! When you abide in the LOVE of God, by coming before Him, Each Day in the Morning, and Abiding in His LOVE all day. Then when your time of TESTING comes YOU will be able to do like David and not have fear of anyone, not panic or listen to the whispers of the evil ones, saying where is Your God You serve now? Is He going to save you from this? trying to put fear and doubt and worry into your mind. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust (lean on God in love) in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding.(do not see the situation as impossible when God is with you) 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, (go to him, confide in Him and have faith in Him) And He will make your paths straight. YES, Every Born Again Believer will have a TESTING in their lives, AND IT CAN BE A TURNING POINT FOR YOUR LIFE. HOW YOU RESPOND, MAY SHOW HOW MUCH YOU ARE TRUSTING IN GOD. BE READY BEFORE THE TESTING COMES, BY ABIDING IN THE LOVE OF GOD AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RESPOND WITH FAITH, NOT FEAR AND DOUBTS. OUR GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH AND HE IS THE GOD OF THE IMPOSSIBLE......SO IN FAITH WE CAN SHOUT..THAT IS NO HILL FOR A CLIMBER, NO BATTLE FOR A CHILD OF GOD...I CLAIM THE VICTORY! https://youtube/watch?v=K47_NN2hsVI
