Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 40s. ***Wintry storm... computer models are in decent agreement, but uncertainty remains in the placement of the cold air. Recent models have trended warmer. This trend brings a slew of precipitation types to the Twin Tiers to include rain, snow, and sleet. This development would also mean less in the way of snow accumulations. I still think that there is a 50% chance of over 6 inches of snow for most of us. The further north you are from the NY/PA border the better chance you have at seeing amounts over 6 inches. From about a line from Ithaca to Cortland to Oneonta and north I anticipate 10-15 inches. For the greater Binghamton area Im thinking 4-8 inches. A small move in one direction could mean significant changes. I suspect we may see some cooler solutions come in overnight as the last few storms have had a southward/eastward drift as storm start became closer. Stay tuned...
