Your body already obeys God, even if you don’t worship Him. Even if your forehead has never touched the ground, even if your tongue has never uttered a single phrase of remembrance, even if the very mention of “God” causes you to cover your ears, your body and your world obeys Him. Every atom in every cell, every organ, every spurt of blood that is purified by your heart and sent back into your bloodstream – they are obeying His command. The moment He orders them to stop, to slow, to fail, they will. And your life. Every moment you live through, every breath of air you take, every thought that has ever crossed your mind – was already recorded far before you made your entrance into this world. It is as it was meant to be. There is nothing in the heavens and the earth that is not bound by His laws, by His ultimate decree. Not even you. Your heart and mind can never be forced to worship God, but they cannot escape obeying His commands. If only they would do so, consciously, too. The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but the disbelievers will not be able, Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them.
