Your exclusive Observations for July 14th ~ 7am Cloudy skies and muggy with lighter morning winds than the last few days. Trades likely filling 10-20 later. Showers likely Monday from a tropical disturbance getting wrapped up within the trade wind flow. New south swell is here and still rising. Barbers buoy 3 15 seconds. Even the NS has at fun 1-2+ WNW. High tide 530am 1 dropping to a -.1 at 11am pushing back up to a big 2.3 High at 6pm. NORTH: Up and Holding on a 15 second WNW at select reefs like Sunset & Rocky Pt. 1-2+. Were down on NE wrap at 0-1.5 for refracting reefs like Laniakea (see our new SNN Laniakea & Chuns Cams); clean, light side-offshores and still decent diving/paddling. West: Makaha is 1-3 on the SSW+WNW swell and its smooth glassy then offshore texture later;other reefs have 2-4 from the SSW; good diving/paddling. Town: Ala Moana, Kaisers, Kewalos etc. up and rising 2-3 occ 4 on the 15 second SSW; Conditions are good with light side offshores, increasing 10-20 ENE trades later this morning. Diamond Head: up and rising on the new 15 second SSW swell at 2-4 occ + and looking lined up and good. semi smooth, side offshores and getting windier as the morning goes. Sandys: Up and rising on the 2-4 SSW + 2.5 SSE + 2 Trade swell and typical side offshore barrells, kinda uneven and bumpy but should improve later; breaking from Full Pt. to Pipelittles + hollow, powerful shore pound to chambers. East: Makapuu: Up and Holding on the S wrap and ENE trade swell at 1-3 on the left & semi bumpy and cloudiness. Events etc. Day 3 is Pau! Slater out. Event #6 at Jeffries Bay (game time is ~8pm tonight surf permitting as theyre 12 hours ahead
