Your first responsibility is to take care of you. When you honestly examine that statement you will discover how much time in your physical life experience you have failed to do this. Every past situation, circumstance, or relationship where you felt betrayed in some manner was because you failed to take care of your first responsibility. While you can indeed trace this behavior back to your early years and what you many have been taught, or how acting in this manner would be viewed as somehow wrong or selfish, you have now come to understand that the only manner in which you can expand, do more for others, and make a contribution, is to take care of your first responsibility.
