Your pet becoming lost and then being found deceased is a horrible thought, one that we never want to even consider - but it is always a possibility. For Torontonians, Toronto Animals Services maintains a Deceased Animals Report which lists all domestic animals they find in the past 30 days. Its a list thats available to anyone (see this URL www1.toronto.ca/mls/animals/deceasedanimals.html ). You can check for a match based on when and where it was found, as well as a basic description. This service may just provide you closure if, sadly, its applicable.
