Your pet, your family member, your commitment to them is for their whole life--not just until it becomes inconvenient. It is called accepting responsibility. If you must give up your pet then you do the work, find them a thoroughly researched and approved home. Not Free on CL or FB, not given away in a parking lot to strangers and not sent to a shelter without researching the consequences. FYI: If you dont want your pet what makes you think a lost, abandoned and shelter stressed pet will be wanted by someone that hasnt lived with them, raised them or cared for them?
