Your victory is sure December 6, Saturday For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:4 (KJV) Often times we see believers carry themselves as though the devil has the final say concerning their lives. You need to realize that you are not in the same class with the devil. The devil is not in control of your life. In fact you are not in a fight with him; because the judgment has long been delivered in your favour. Your assignment is to resist him. You wont see any place where we are told to fight the devil. The Christian race is a fight of faith. The word of God says resist him (the devil) and he will flee from you. He is already defeated, but that would not stop him from attacking you. To resist is to oppose, defend against, withstand and to keep from. God has called you to oppose the devil, dont give him an inch of the land He has given you, defend your territory by drawing the blood line - confront your confrontation and refuse to accept any form of defeat knowing that God has given you the victory. If you dont know who you are in Christ, the devil is ready to take advantage of you. When Jesus died He gave you power and authority to rule over the devil and all his abilities. The Bible says in Col 2: 15 having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly triumphing over them. The devil is already defeated, he is not about to be; but already defeated, so stop being frightened, because he comes only to intimidate, manipulate, deceive and pressurize you to do the wrong thing. Child of God, know it that you are more than a conqueror. You have overcome the world for greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You have overcome already, for that is the whole essence of the victory of the cross. I want you to settle it in your heart that you are not to rub shoulders with the devil, but you are meant to give him orders. In the natural, a superior officer gives orders to the subordinate, and that is how it is also in the realm of the spirit. You are here to give orders, and when you speak, he listens. In actual fact fighting the devil is an insult to Jesus. Can you imagine a wealthy man fighting his cook or steward? All he needs do is to give instructions and they are carried out. Stop taking instructions from the devil, but rather command him and he will flee from you. It is lack of this key information that the enemy has used and is still using against believers to hold them bound. That is why you must read the scriptures and discover all that God says about you.
