Your vote did matter! The election results last night were incredible with some new faces on council including three very dynamic women. I mention that because they bring not only a great skill set but have managed to get seats on city council when there were eight men and a woman mayor for our last term on council! I wanted to thank all the people for their for their support over the last term and a special thanks to those who voted for me last night. My dad who past away a year ago must have been sitting on the edge of his seat in heaven last night watching the results come in. Thanks to my extended family Timothy and Mat Apa, Kelcey and mother and father in law and my brother Greg and sister Cindy for their support as well. To my mother Julie Perry you are the best and most supportive mother in the world, thanks mom. Last of all thanks to my incredible wife Nellie Marques-Skakun for her support and for her standing beside me though the ups and downs of my political career.
