Youre No Hero Malala Id be cheering #Malala if she had pointed out the root cause of evil in the Muslim world (i.e. female education) instead of peddling the same narrative that the West wants everyone to believe. It is not Mullah Fazlullah or Hakeemullah, or this group or that group on the fringe that threatens to educate women. It is the mainstream Western puppets -- the self-serving desi liberals ruling over the Muslim world backed by the West for their petty national interests, and the Western war on the mujahideen bombers (that they themselves had produced), the decades of looting, colonization and imperial desires to promote the English language and secular sciences and to keep the developing world divided (through polio vaccinations) and subdued (through Western education) that forms the primary threat to the rights of women living in these areas. Had only Malala spoken the full truth about polio vaccinations, she wouldnt be lauded in the House of Lords, but most likely be declared a terror threat whose very movement would be restricted let alone her right of speech. But all Malala did was to alter the victim-aggressor paradigm by making the jihadi resistance to this Western education and polio vaccinations, right or wrong in its tactics, as the subject of criticism while ignoring the context in which this resistance takes place. No Malala. No cheers from me
