Youre being dumb Tom. Cant try to evade. You needed to tackle this head on, no pun intended. Here is my statement... Its true that I dont like the football as much when its highly inflated, and therefore I choose balls that are on the softer side. Those are the balls that I pick out before the game. Thats what Ive always done. Those balls are therefore, undoubtedly, Id imagine, on the lower side of the NFL inflation guidelines. Now, what happens after that... after that process of me choosing the 12 footballs that I chose... I dont know. The balls probably lose a small amount of air pressure over the course of the very cold temperatures games. Thats just science. That definitely does happen. Im not trying to make excuses here. Im simply telling you what I know... what I can think of concerning this matter. Ive been told that the balls were switched out by the league at halftime of the Colts game. I didnt notice. I think my play in the 2nd half of that game would corroborate that. And given the circumstances that were now obviously dealing with, Im sure the balls in Arizona a week from Sunday will be coming out of some vault right before kickoff. And Im fine with that. I have zero worries about the inflation level of the football as long as they are our balls that we have provided. I hope, after that, the NFL ensures that those balls meet all the required guidelines so that I dont have to go through anything like this again. I cant wait to play in my 6th Super Bowl against the defending champion Seahawk team who I know will be ready for me and my fully inflated balls. And now I just want to get back to my preparation for that game if I can. Thank you.
