Youre invited to join Calvary Fellowship Church as we host an Operation Christmas Child Packing Party! We will be packing shoe boxes with gifts for underprivileged children that will be distributed to various countries around the world through Samaritan’s Purse! Best of all, each child will be presented with the opportunity to receive Jesus Christ into their lives through a program called “The Greatest Journey”, a 12-week discipleship program uniquely designed for this purpose. With your participation and generosity, together we can touch the lives of thousands of children! Friday, November 14th 7:00pm – 9:30pm OakPark Neighborhood Center 2200 Sawgrass Drive, Oakville We will provide the shoe boxes and some supplies, however, we kindly ask you to bring some items as well. See the list below. Generally, if you can, bring enough supplies to fill three (3) shoeboxes. There is also a minimum $7.00 shipping cost / donation per box. So if you are able to help with those costs, it would be greatly appreciated. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring something to share! WHAT TO INCLUDE: School Supplies - Items such as pens, pencils, pencil crayons, note pads, and picture books Hygiene Items - Items such as: facecloth, toothbrush, comb, and soap. Please place soap in a sealable bag Toys & Other Gifts - Items such as: stuffed animals, small musical instruments, hair clips, toy jewelry, t-shirts, socks, and candy (loose, individually wrapped hard candy in a sealable bag) Personal Note - Include a personal note and/or a photo in your shoebox (not inside the donation envelope) DO NOT INCLUDE: Decks of standard playing cards (other card games such as UNO are allowed) Food and any chewy, crumbly, or soft candy: Including gum (due to customs regulations) Used items (due to customs regulations) Toothpaste (due to customs regulations) Liquids or items that could leak, melt, freeze, or break - Shampoo, creams, lip balm, bath gels, mirrors, or glass, etc. (these can damage other items in the shoebox). Items that can scare or harm a child - War-related toys, knives, and toy guns, etc. Using a backpack instead of a shoe box is problematic because it creates unfair circumstances at distribution events.
