Youre right. The rapists go to prison. Victim blaming, is victim blaming. It was an insensitive analogy to use, and I understand that much. However the problem is, is that the people committing the violence arent the subject. Its the people who are victims of the violence, that have to change their behavior in order to not be killed. Police could reduce the number of children being shot to death, all the time, today. Right now. No Legislation needed. Children will be children. And they need to be assessed as such, any situation needs to be assessed. Sure, we have a handful of domestic terrorism instances, but no need to assume kids are going to kill you as an officer. Unless the situation is assessed that way. Officers shouldnt be in a situation where a toy gun has to be revealed to them. These kids should be on the ground, face down, while the officer assesses the situation. Coming from a horrible PD, its insulting. As is the tone of the post, as is the grammar.
