The organisation Youth Against Settlements (YAS) welcomed a delegation of high-ranked officials of Amnesty International, representing the director of Amnesty’s International Office, as well as the directors of more than 20 branches of the organisation throughout the world. The guest delegation visited several Palestinian families who live near the settlement regions such as the area of Wad Hussein, Shuhada Street, Til Rumeida and Debuia. The delegation discovered the deliberate and regular violations carried out by Occupation soldiers and settlers, whether concerning the residents’ right of movement, their right to live on their land, or their right to education. They also witnessed the systematic violations against Palestinian children. The delegation expressed its disapproval and its shock at what it witnessed of the policies targeting many families and aiming to isolate them, as well as the closing of Shuhada Street to Palestinians and the transfer of its residents so as to transform the heart of the city into a Jewish neighbourhood. Hamid Quasima, representing the Office of the UN High Commissioner, gave a detailed explanation of the special legal situation of the Rajbi family house in the area of Al-Ras, which is waiting for the response to an appeal made by settlers to the court of justice. The court is expected to judge in favour of the settlers and allow their return to the Rujbi house, which they had taken over illegally and from which they were evicted in the end of 2008. Such a court ruling would be a clear assault on Palestinian rights to live in their own home. The delegation completed its visit in the Centre for Challenge and Resilience, associated with the organisation of Youth Against Settlements, where deputy coordinator Badia Dwak explained the history of settlement in the region, as well as the policy of dividing the city, isolating the residents through a policy of systematic racial “purging” and silent expulsion, with the aim of clearing the city of its residents and placing the entire region under Israeli control. Badia Dwak also explained that these policies fully reflect the latest statement of the Israeli Deputy Defense Minister, which revealed that Israel is working towards the transforming of Palestinians into a minority on their land and the Jews a majority. Badia also described the most important activities organised by Youth Against Settlements (YAS), such as the program of documenting, through photography and filming, within a journalism project for human rights. He also explained the Samidun Project, which aims to reinforce the resilience of families. YAS is also continuing the international Shuhada Street Campaign which places Hebron on the international agenda. One of the campaign’s most significant recent successes was the invitation of Youth Against Settlements (represented by the engineer Issa Amro) to the Human Rights Assembly in Geneva, to present the most significant and dangerous violations of rights which Israel practices against Palestinians in general, and against Hebron residents in particular. This is one of several political and activism tours that representatives of Youth Against Settlements have made to expose the racist occupation policies against the Palestinian people. Later, a group of settlers disrupted the delegation’s march, when it reached the proximity of the connecting road near the Ibahim Mosque. In the end of the visit, Badia Dwak offered a symbolic gift to the delegation in the name of the YAS activists, and thanked them for their visit, asking them for increased interest in the humanitarian situation and the special human rights situation in Hebron. Youth Against Settlements is a national and non-partisan organisation of youth which works in resisting the occupation and the spread of settlements, through mass-protest and popular means. وفد منظمة العفو الدولية "أمنيستي" يستهجن اجراءات الاحتلال بالخليل استقبل تجمع شباب ضد الاستيطان وفد رفيع المستوى من منظمة العفو الدولية " امنيستي" وكان الوفد ممثلا بمدير مكتب الامين العام لمنظمة العفو الدولية بالعالم بالإضافة الى مدراء اكثر من عشرين فرع للمؤسسة على مستوى العالم. ولقد استهل الوفد الضيف الزيارة بزيارة بعض العائلات الفلسطينية التي تسكن بالقرب من المناطق الاستيطانية مثل منطقة واد الحصين وشارع الشهداء ومنطقة تل الرميدة والدبويا وإطلاع الوفد على الانتهاكات الاسرائيلية المقصودة الممارسة من قبل جنود الاحتلال ومستوطنيه سواء بما يتعلق بالحق بحرية الحركة او الحق في السكن والحق في التعليم والانتهاكات المقصوده والممنهجة ضد الاطفال الفلسطينيين واظهر الوفد استيائهم وصدمتهم مما شاهدوه من سياسة عزل للعائلات عن بعضها البعض بالإضافة من خلال مجموعة من السياسات التي تطبقها اسرائيل على ارض الواقع ومنها اغلاق شارع الشهداء وتفريغه من سكانه الفلسطينيين في سبيل تحويل قلب المدينة الى حي يهودي . ولقد قدم حامد القواسمة ممثلا عن مكتب مفوض الامم المتحدة شرحا مفصلا عن الوضع القانوني الخاص بمبنى عائلة الرجبي في منطقة الراس التي تنتظر الرد على الاستئناف الذي قدمه المستوطنين الى المحكمة وعن النتائج المتوقعه في حال اذا ما قررت محكمة الاحتلال بعودة المستوطنين مرة اخرى الى مبنى عائلة الرجبي الذي تم اخلاءهم منه في نهاية عام2008 مما سوف يؤدي الى موجة من الاعتداءات والانتهاكات الانسانية بحق الفلسطينيين . واستكمل الوفد زيارته حتى وصل الى مركز التحدي والصمود التابع لشباب ضد الاستيطان حيث قد نائب منسق التجمع بديع الدويك شرحا تفصيلا عن تاريخ الاستيطان بالإضافة الى مجموعة من السياسات التي تعمل على تجزئة المدينة وعزل سكانها عبر سياسة التطهير العرقي الممنهج وسياسة التهجير الهادئ بهدف افراغ المدينة من سكانها وبالتالي السيطرة عليها بشكل كامل لاحقا وأضاف الدويك بان هذه السياسات تتطابق بشكل كلي مع التصريح الاخير لنائب وزير الدفاع الاسرائيلي والذي كشف فيه بأن اسرائيل تعمل على تحويل الفلسطينيين الى اقلية في اراضيهم واليهود هم الاغلبية .وقد قام مجموعة من المستوطنين عرقلة مسيرة الوفد عند وصلهم بالقرب من طريق المصلين بالقرب من الحرم الابراهيمي الشريف. كما قدم شرحا عن اهم النشاطات التي يقوم فيها شباب التجمع مثل برنامج التوثيق عبر التصوير بالفيديو ضمن مشروع صحافيون من اجل حقوق الانسان ,ومشروع صامدون الذي يهدف الى تعزيز صمود العائلات وحملة شارع الشهداء الدولية التي وضعت الخليل على الاجندة الدولية والتي كان من ابرز ثمارها الاخيرة دعوة تجمع شباب الاستيطان ممثلة بالمهندس عيسى عمرو الى مجلس حقوق الانسان في جنيف لتقديم شرحا عن اهم الانتهاكات الانسانية الخطيرة التي تمارسها اسرائيل ضد الفلسطينيين بشكل عام والخليل بشكل خاص , والجولات السياسية وغيرها من النشاطات التي يقوم بها افراد التجمع في سبيل فضح سياسات الاحتلال العنصرية ضد الشعب الفلسطيني. وفي نهاية الزيارة قدم بديع الدويك هدية رمزية باسم نشطاء تجمع شباب ضد الاستيطان للوفد الضيف وشكره على الزيارة وطالب بالمزبد من الاهتمام في بالوضع الانساني والحقوقي الخاص بسكان مدينة الخليل . يذكر أن تجمع شباب ضد الاستيطان هو تجمع شبابي وطني غير حزبي يعمل على مقاومة الاحتلال والاستيطان من خلال وسائل العمل الجماهيري والشعبي.
