Youth Fish Farming Project (YFFP) is aimed at creating employment and making Mombasa County food secure. H.E Governor, Hassan Ali Joho has applauded the project and is in full support of YFFP. The Mombasa County Assembly members have been very supportive in identifying areas where the ponds will be located as well as assisting in mobilizing the youth to take part in this initiative. In a few months time, the price of fish will be affordable to most households, improving their nutritional levels that in turn lowers the spending on medication and other related expenses. The multiplier effect on this impressive. The women who we call mama karanga will also benefit greatly. We have a team of experts from the Fisheries department and other stakeholders who are working round the clock to ensure that the project is efficient and effective.
