Youth Green Up Clean Up, 4 May 2014, 1-3pm Centennial Park, Brampton: 35 amazing group of youth volunteers challenged the extremely windy and muddy conditions to make a positive impact in their community. The group cleaned up the entire stretch of Centennial Park collecting; - 21 bags full of recyclable litter, - 19 bags full of other types of litter, - 2 tires, and - the grace of 2 friendly ducks. With strong promotional support and participation by the Step Up Youth Volunteer Ambassadors, the park clean up was organized by Volunteer MBC in collaboration with the City of Brampton. Refreshments were provided by Tim Hortons. It was organized as an event supporting and promoting the 2014 ChangeTheWorld - Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge. A heartfelt thank you to all volunteers for your amazing contribution today.
