Youth Science Institute is coming to our school! Children will touch and examine live animals and learn about their diet, habitat, ecological role, structure, and function. We are looking forward to seeing arthropods, amphibians, reptiles, and mammals and learning more about them. We will observe and discuss differences among animals. We will probably see a snake, a tarantula, perhaps an owl or a chinchilla. Ryan from Youth Science Institute is coming to our school to do a program on Monday January 27th for the Caterpillar Class from 9:30 to 10:00, for the Ladybug and Grasshopper Classes from 10:15 to 11:15, and for the Bumblebee Class from 12:30 to 1:30. Carter will come on Tuesday January 28th and do a presentation from 10:00 to 11:00 for the Grasshopper/Ladybug Classes. The Cocoon class may join this presentation but will probably not stay for the entire time. PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THEIR CHILD’S GROUP AT THESE TIMES.
